This Thai Tea Ice Cream tastes authentic, made from Thai tea mix and sweetened with condense milk to replicate your favorite Thai tea drink.
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup Thai tea mix (40 gr)
1 1/2 cups whole milk (360 ml)
1/2 cup granulated sugar (100 gr)
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups heavy cream (360 ml)
Condensed milk, for serving
INSTRUCTIONS
Combine Thai tea, milk, sugar, and salt in a large saucepan and bring to simmer over medium heat.
Remove from the heat and let the tea steep for 10 minutes.
Strain the milk mixture through a fine mesh strainer and add heavy cream. Mix until combined. Let the mixture cool completely.
Cover and refrigerate the mixture for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Pour the ice cream base into an ice cream maker and follow the manufacture’s directions.
Store the ice cream in airtight container in freezer for at least 4 hours.
Serve with a drizzle of condensed milk.
